For Sale Y reg red Cortina Crusader Saloon

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I have a Cortina which I am looking to sell. Its a red Crusader saloon on a Y plate... registered in November 1982.

Shes in very good condition, with a 5 speed gearbox, twin venturi webber carb and a K&N filter.

Mileage is 64,981. MOT and road tax runs out in November.

I am a great fan of Cortinas, but I have to let this one go becuase I have recently lost my job, and I am also moving very soon. I won't have the time or the funds to look after her, as well as keeping my daily driver. I would rather see her go a good home!

I also have a few Cortina items which I will give with the vehicle if anyone is interested. These include a few A3 sized Cortina advert posters, 2 manuals and 2 books filled with Cortina mk4/5 roadtest reviews.

I am new to this forum... so if the pic doesn't load up I will try get put up shortly!

If you are interested please email me (Raj) at who.can.toucan@gmail.com

Thank you :o

I wasn't expecting to get any attention for the books and posters! :D

I was hoping to give them with the car, so as to give all my Cortina stuff a send off in one go.

But if there is interest in the litterature then here is what I got:

1 x Autodata manual for Cortina 1.3/1.6 (Green cover)

1 x Autodata manual for Cortina 2.0/2.3 (Orange cover)

1 x Haynes mansual for Cortina 1.6/2.0 (Orange cover)

2 x Tranport Source books - Ford Cortina Mk 4 & 5 (Volumes 1 + 2)

3 x A3 poster prints of Mk4 Cortina (1 is for Cortina S, the other is titled: "The New Ford Cortina, a car thats built to last", and the third is just a yellow Mk4 Ghia in front of an old pirates ship)

2 x A3 poster prints for Mk5 Cortina (1 is Carousel model, other is Crusader Estate)

Welcome to BSC - the reason the pics won't upload is that they are far too big (about 2MB) & need resizing to about 80kb so the forum will allow the upload.

Hey Neil,

I am sure I have met you before....

Did you go to the BBC Cortina advert recording a few years ago?

I think it was in summer 2002...

They had about 12 Cortinas stacked up in a tunnel in the middle of the countryside...

Gosh that was such a long time ago!

Yes folks thats an additional selling point to my Cortina... its been on TV! Or be it for a few seconds... :D
